Fractional CTO & Tech Lead Consultation
Senior technical leadership without a full-time CTO salary
Most companies do not fail on code. They fail on decisions: the wrong architecture chosen early, a vendor nobody could evaluate, a team with no technical direction, or a deadline nobody senior enough was willing to defend.
I currently hold six CTO and Tech Lead seats across companies in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. A fractional engagement gives you that same seat — part-time, with full ownership of the technical outcome.

What the engagement covers
- Architecture ownership. Stack, data model, integration strategy, and the trade-offs written down so the next decision is faster.
- Engineering team direction. Sprint direction, code review standards, technical mentoring, and clear definitions of done.
- Hiring support. Job specs, technical screening, and interview scorecards so you stop hiring on gut feel.
- Delivery accountability. Estimates, roadmap, release planning, and one person answerable when a date moves.
- Vendor and agency oversight. I read the proposals, the contracts, and the code your suppliers deliver — on your side of the table.
- Security and reliability review. Access control, backups, deployment, monitoring, and the failure modes nobody wants to think about.
- Board-readable reporting. A monthly technical summary in business language: risk, spend, progress, and what needs a decision.
Consultation formats
- Single technical consultation. One focused session on one hard decision, with a written summary of the recommendation and the reasoning.
- Technical due diligence. An independent audit of an existing system, codebase, or acquisition target — architecture, security, debt, and what it will cost to keep running.
- Rescue audit. For a build that is late, over budget, or losing your trust: what is salvageable, what is not, and the shortest safe path to production.
- Ongoing fractional CTO / Tech Lead retainer. A recurring monthly commitment with defined availability, ownership, and reporting.

Good fit for
- Founders with developers but no senior technical owner
- Companies whose CTO left and whose roadmap stalled
- Businesses about to sign a large build contract they cannot evaluate
- Agencies that need a senior technical lead in front of their clients
- Investors needing due diligence on a software asset
How it starts
- A short call to hear the current situation, team, and the decision in front of you.
- A review of what already exists — repo, system, proposal, or documentation.
- A written recommendation: the engagement format, scope, availability, and monthly cost.
- If it fits, we start. If a one-off consultation solves it, I will tell you that instead.
